Accadia Software Technologies Limited was established in 2003 by Adi Shva, Adi Eilon and Eli Smadar with the specific goal of providing management solutions for the diamond, colored gemstone, and jewelry industries.

While Accadia’s initial task was to provide technical support to several hundred diamond manufacturers and dealers already using management software produced by the sister company Aerodiam, the company immediately began developing a new management package that would empower its clients to operate their companies in the wired and global economy of the 21st century. The result of the project was DiamondXecutive Pro, which is now utilized by over 450 of the world’s largest diamond manufacturers.

Today, Accadia and Aerodiam service the largest customer base for diamond management software in the world, with offices in Ramat Gan (ISR), Antwerp (BEL), and representatives in New York (USA), London (UK) and Johannesburg (SA).

Born in Haifa (Israel) in 1959. I’m the 3rd of 3 children (all boys). My father was a business man; he owned and managed a chemical factory. My mother was a dress maker; she was working from home. I had 12 years of school studies, and then went on a 3-year army service (compulsory in Israel). In 1980 I went to live and work in London for two years where I met my future wife Yaelit. We got married in 1983 (spent our honeymoon in the Dan Accadia hotel in Herzlia (Israel); this was the inspiration for the name Accadia… Started in the physics faculty in the Tel Aviv university but ended up studying business administration in an evening college in Tel Aviv for two years while working in the computer department of my father’s in law insurance company.

Following the collapse of his company, my father in law and the whole family went to live in Antwerp, Belgium. Thanks to my background in IT and the fact that we were living in (at the time) the world’s diamonds capital – the family established a company that was (and still is today) selling software and technology to the diamond industry. The company name is Aerodiam.

Towards the end of 2000 my wife and I and our 3 daughters returned back to Israel, where we built a house in Binyamina, a village about 50 Km north of Tel Aviv. For about 3 years I continued working as the CEO of Aerodiam (the Belgian company), taking a flight every Monday morning to Antwerp, returning every Thursday night back to Binyamina.

In 2003, following the collapse of our software supplier, we established Accadia in Israel with the aim of developing the next generation of software for the diamond industry. Si from that time I was managing the Israeli company Accadia, while my partner Adi Eilon took over as general manager of Aerodiam, the Belgian company.
